Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley would like to invite you to the Fourth Annual Bras for a Cause event.  On Sunday, October 28, 2007, the event will again take place at the Valencia Country Club.  From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. the club’s ballroom will be filled with lingerie art, wine, appetizers and fun as people gather to show their support for local breast cancer initiatives.  Again this year there will be the inclusion of decorated purses.  The decorated lingerie and purses will be auctioned off to the event’s guests.  Please consider being a part of this year’s event as a bra or purse donor and attendee.


  Self-decorated bra or purse sponsorships are $100 each and can be made in honor of, gratitude of or memory of someone special.  If you would rather have our talented committee decorate your bra or purse, the sponsorship fee is only $150 per item.  If you would like to donate both a bra and a purse, the fee for both items will be $150 for self-decorated items or  $250 if you’d like to have the bra and purse decorated for you.  We highly suggest that the bras and bags can be accompanied with additional items to increase the auction price too.  As a special thank you, all those who donate will be invited to a private party the week prior to the event to view some of the bras and purses.  Wine and appetizers are kindly being provided by Vino 100 and Wolf Creek with Citron Spa hosting the event at its Valencia location.  Details will be available on the website in the near future.  You can register your bra or purse sponsorship by logging on to the website,  www.brasforacause.com.  Registration must be completed by October 12, 2007 and decorated bras and purses must be delivered to one of the below listed locations by October 15, 2007 in order to make the proposed program.  This year we are hoping to have a program at the event, with photos and descriptions about each bra and donor.  If you are interested in sponsoring the program, or know of a company that might, please let us know.  The back of the program will contain a one fullpage advertisement (for $500) and 2 half page ad ($250 each) from the company/person who sponsors the program.  Tickets for this fun event are only $50 and include fabulous appetizers and wine from  the Valencia Country Club, access to the boutique vendors, a raffle as well as the event art  show.  Tickets are available from any Soroptimist member or by visiting SCV Bank, Citron Day Spa, Fresh Clothing Store, Della Stella Salon, the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center and Vino 100.  Funds raised benefit the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center and Soroptimist International of the SCV’s fund to financially assist local women struggling with breast cancer.  On behalf of Soroptimist International of the SCV and local women, we would like to thank you in advance for your support.
