Meet the AngelDogs Puppies!

Looking for a wonderful canine companion?  Adopt a dog from AngelDogs Foundation Deaf Dog Ranch in Acton.  All of our dogs are fixed, up to date on shots, and trained using hand signals.  Deaf dogs are highly intelligent and really bond with their owners.  They make fantastic pets.  Here are just a few of the dogs available at our ranch:

Training Your New Puppy or Dog

It is important to start training your new puppy as soon as you bring it home.  Training can be done yourself or a professional can be hired.  Local dog training classes are often available.  Ask your veterinarian to recommend a trainer or look in your local newspaper for a trainer in your area.

There are two types of training: behavioral and obedience.

Summer Pet Safety

As we all know, Santa Clarita has been experiencing an extreme heat wave with temperatures in the triple digits over the past couple weeks and more to come.  Therefore, it is very important to be aware of several factors that may impact your pet’s health in the heat.  Some of the problems we deal with every day include heatstroke, snakebites, burned paw pads, lost or injured dogs during fireworks, and insects (fleas, bees, mosquitos, and ticks).

Variety is the Spice of Life

This saying is true in the daily work of many veterinarians.  As I was looking back at the diversity of patients I have seen, and procedures I have done in the last few weeks, I was reminded of how fortunate I am to be in this profession – I enjoy what I do.  There is a tremendous amount of satisfaction in being able to help pets get better from some disease process, and overall, help give them the best quality of life.
