Whether you’re an eight year old kid or a big kid of 38, everyone should feel the love of a pet.  Pets are not only loving companions, they teach responsibility, dedication and patience.  Welcome one of these wonderful animals into your home and you might see a change in your child, yourself and your life.

Blondie is about 8-months-old with short cute Bassett-type legs.  She came to us with her brother who has already been adopted.  She is a little shy, having spent most of her time running free on two-and-a-half acres, but we are working with her and she is doing well on a leash. She just needs someone to trust.  She has been spayed, is current on her shots and looking for love.

Cereniti is a whippet mix, not very big, about two-and-a-half years old.  She is housetrained and very playful, loves people and children.  She tries to chase cats, but she gets along fine with other dogs Clover was turned in as a lost dog.  She has now been spayed and is current on her shots.  Like most Border Collies she is high energy, but does calm down.  She is very happy, loves to play ball and wags her tail endlessly.

Lasco is a neutered male Labrador Retriever mix.  He last weighed in at 120 pounds and is mellow fellow that gets along with other dogs and likes the family cat.  He is five-and-a-half years old, house trained to a doggy door, good with children and loves to ride in the car.  Lasco would love to be adopted with his best friend Peru but it is not required.
Peru is a spayed female Rhodesian Ridgeback.  She last weighed in at 95 pounds and is house trained to a doggy door and is good with most dogs and likes the family cat.  She loves to go on car trips and is good with children three-or four-years and older.  She has a beautiful ridge running down her back.  Peru would love to be adopted with her best friend Lasco, but it is not required.

Lovey is a Border Collie/Aussie mix, we think.  She is around one-and-a-half years old.  High spirited, smart and playful, Lovey likes children and has been spayed, updated with all shots and micro-chipped.  Lovey is not a large dog, weighing 40 to 50 pounds.

Pualani is a spayed female Tabby Calico little girl about four-years-old.  She was abandoned at the Mojave airport.  She has had all of her shots and has a very outgoing personality.  She is fine with children and non-aggressive dogs, but we don’t know how she will do with other cats.  Pualani is an awesome mouser.  She has tidied up her foster mom’s garage of mice in just a couple of days.  She has a great purring machine and enjoys being held and loved on.  She would probably be fine as an indoor or outdoor cat, if she is provided proper shelter.

Precious is a 6-year-old spayed Shelty/Chow mix current with shots.  She is housetrained and loves kids and other dogs. Check out that beautiful tail.

Bruno is an 11-month-old neutered male pit bull terrier mix.  He is very friendly and social.

My name is Little Ren and I’m a brindle male bulldog/pitbull mix.  I’m only three-years-old and have spent most of my life so far in a kennel.  When the rescue lady found me, my doghouse door was almost completely covered with snow and I pushed my blanket up inside the door, but I was still very cold.  I’m now at a foster home where I get to run around with other dogs all day long. They did pick on me and I had to have stitches at the vet and somehow while I was there I got neutered too, so it’s easier to walk now.  I’m very quiet and gentle, not at all alpha and I grew up with lots of cats.  I like other dogs but not when they pick fights.  My tail is always wagging these days because I get to run around without a leash.  I mind my manners, am being housebroken and know how to climb through a doggie door.  I am about 60 pounds of pure muscle and I think I’d do fine as an only dog or as a companion to a female.  Did I mention that I really like sleeping inside where it is warm all night?

Sparky is a neutered male Chihuahua mix, about 10 pounds.  He is two-and-a-half years old and is housebroken.  Sparky is very gentle and loving.  He is current on his shots.  Sparky gets along well with other dogs.  He is currently being fostered in Canyon Country.  For more information about any of these adorable animals, please call Kate at 661-823-7859

Tucker is a young male black Labrador who was found in a snowstorm and never claimed.  He’s a wonderful dog, playful, housebroken, well-mannered, not an alpha, already neutered, so it’s amazing that someone wasn’t missing him.  Well, he’s having a blast at his foster home playing with all of the other young dogs, so he’s in no hurry to wander off again.  He doesn’t mind cats, would be fine as an only dog with kids to keep him busy or maybe the other way around?  He would make a wonderful companion to just about any dog.  He has a beautiful shiny coat with some reddish fur by his tail, but he looks all lab.  You can meet Tucker by calling Canine Canyon Ranch at 661-823-0111.
