After having my third child, the weight wasn’t coming off, as easily as it had after having my first two children.
For the next year and a half, I tried one thing after another to lose the weight, but to no avail.  I joined a gym, watched what I ate, ran, joined Weight Watchers, took weight loss medications prescribed by two different physicians and in a last ditch effort, I went to see an Endocrinologist.

He said the only way I was going to lose the weight was to be on an 800 calorie a day diet, and that I would only be able to get down to 129 lbs.  After leaving his office, I felt helpless and knew there was no way that I’d be able to stick to this kind of weight plan.

Last July I started taking dance classes three times a week at this beautiful, unique and supportive dance fitness studio Goddess Fitness.
I am happy to say that I proved the Endocrinologist wrong.  By the beginning of this year, I had dropped my weight by 25 lbs.  I’m now down to 120 lbs, nine pounds less than the doctor said I would be able to get down to. Thanks to goddess fitness, I’m thrilled.

Taking dance classes helped me to lose the weight and I’ve had so much fun doing so.  I’ve tried many classes at Goddess Fitness including Goddess Diva, Boogie Woogie, Latin Salsa, Belly Dancing, Juicy Jazz and Gypsy Fusion, just to name a few.

Dancing is such great exercise and so much fun. I never dread doing it like I did with other types of exercise.  I don’t even associate taking a dance class with working out. I think a lot of it has to do with the atmosphere at Goddess Fitness, rose-colored walls, chandeliers, velvet curtains, dim lighting and lots of burning candles.

So, whether you want to lose weight, reduce your stress or just have fun dancing, Goddess Fitness is definitely the way to go.
