ANotefromThePublishers1The weather is nothing short of perfection here in the Santa Clarita Valley, especially at this time of year.  With the arrival of spring, we have warmer days, beautiful evenings and a multitude of exciting events to attend!  As you can see on our cover, we have featured three non-profit organizations that we are so pleased to support.  We take pride in assisting nearly all of our local non-profit organizations through editorial coverage, attendance and various donations.

We continue to invest in our community because our community is important to us.
On March 4 and March 5, Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley will be sponsoring Lunafest.  This year’s film festival will feature eight short films dealing with women’s issues.  See opposite page for more ticket and festival information.
Not only do we love supporting the non-profit organizations in our publications, but we’ve taken on new titles…Chili Judges!  Moe and I are getting our taste buds ready for this year’s Charity Chili Cook-off in support of Help the Children, Bridge to Home and LARC Ranch on Friday, March 20.  Turn to page 6 for more information.
We have been a proud supporter of the Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley throughout the years, and we always look forward to their Fashion Show & Boutique.  Come join us on Sunday, March 22, as we will enjoy an afternoon Cruising with Friends of Greater SCV.  We are also looking forward to cheering on our son, Alex, as he will be one of the male models that will be participating in the afternoon’s event.  See our story on the opposite page for more details about this fun event.
It will be a star-studded evening on Saturday, March 14 as the WiSH Education Foundation will present Starry, Starry Night which will feature a fantastic performance by dancers from popular television shows including So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With The Stars.  Turn to page 12 to see which celebrities will be participating as well as for information on ticket prices and times. 
It’s hard to believe that school is almost out.  Summer will be here before you know it, so here is a callout to parents to take advantage of our helpful Kids Education & Camp Directory beginning on page 82.  Get the 4-1-1 on everything you need to know to keep your kids busy this summer.
