Circle of Hope would like to thank all of their sponsors, volunteers, and 200 guests for the resounding success of this year’s Afternoon Tea held October 10 at Robinson Ranch Golf Club.
The welcome address and organization update were presented by Circle of Hope President Pam Ripling and Executive Director Ray Tippet, who reviewed the charity’s expansion and future goal of facilitating service to more patients.  Longtime supporter and this year’s Title Sponsor, Nola Aronson, presented a check for $2,500 from her Advanced Audiology group, which included the sponsorship of her “Doggie in the Window” themed tea table.  This year’s tea theme, “Moments in Time,” commemorated those special days, eras, events, and pop cultural happenings that draw thoughts toward time.
Guest speaker Dr. Susan Downey garnered the crowd’s attention with her enlightening and sobering exposé on breast reconstructive surgery.  Representatives from Presenting Sponsor Brighton Collectibles displayed and took orders for their “2015 Power of Pink” bracelets and accessories, a portion of which will result in a donation to Circle of Hope.
Circle of Hope would like to thank the following generous people for making this sold out event so much fun: desserts provided by Bake You Happy, Nana’s Bananas, and Nothing Bundt Cakes; musical entertainment by Lance Allyn; “Magic to Blow Your Mind” by David Neubauer; photography by Brooke Ritter Photography; media support by The Magazine of Santa Clarita, SCVTV, KHTS, and The Signal; corporate sponsors Union Bank and Logix Federal Credit Union.
And special thanks to the volunteers and committee members without whom this event could not be possible:  Sam Badalof, Jill Bondy, Pamela Braly, Gina Concotilli, Susan Doran, Angie Gonzalez, Jayne Gates, Cheryl Gray, Phyllis Grekin, Nicole Gruell, Alex Hafizi, Kris Hough, Caren Kahan, Kayleen Kavanagh, Taylor Kellstrom, Heidi Leopold, Lisa Lewis, Susan Lopez, Lisa Lyttle, Teresa Mathers, Janice Murray, Cassandra Palone, Judy Penman, Toni Polucki, Kayla Ripling, Pam Ripling, Morrilyn Robertson, Anna Rogers, Kathy Rutherford, Colleen Shaffer, Wendy Thrush, Ashleigh Tippet, Ray Tippet, and Kristin Watson.
Next up for the Circle of Hope is their second annual “Christmas in New York” at CBS Studio Center on Saturday, December 12. Watch for more about this exciting holiday event!
Proceeds from all events go to further Circle of Hope’s mission of providing financial, emotional, and educational support for uninsured and underinsured individuals undergoing cancer treatment, as well as their families and the community. As always, 100 percent of the proceeds remain in the Santa Clarita Valley.
