Step Out To Stop Diabetes Earn a free ticket to Six Flags Magic Mountain!

 This November 5, team up with family, friends and co-workers at the 2016 Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes at Six Flags Magic Mountain.  This year every walker has the opportunity to earn a free ticket to this popular theme park.  All walkers who donate or fundraise $100 to the American Diabetes Association will receive a free ticket to go into Magic Mountain after the walk and spend the day with family and friends.  Ask 10 friends to donate $10, collect their donations, and you will earn your free ticket.  It’s that simple! You will also receive a free Step Out Walk T-shirt.
Registration is easy by visiting the Step Out Magic Mountain website at www.diabetes.org/stepoutmagicmountain.  There is no registration fee to sign up, but donations and fundraising are encouraged.  Parking at Six Flags is free when attending the walk.  Every dollar raised plays an important role in supporting the American Diabetes Association’s mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.”  Every 48 hours, 7,670 Americans are diagnosed with diabetes – that’s one person every 23 seconds.
Become a team captain, invite your family and friends to walk with you, and inspire others to become Step Out Walk participants.  Whether you are a physical walker or virtual supporter, your team will raise money in this inspirational event – not only because nearly 30 million people in the United States have diabetes, but also because everyone more than likely knows someone who is living with the everyday challenges of this disease.  This year more than 4,000 area residents will come together to be part of the Step Out Walk To Stop Diabetes movement during the walk at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
Walkers will have the opportunity to walk through the park before it opens to the public, enjoy the Step Out Festival, entertainment, vendors and activities after the walk, and then they get to have fun inside the park for the remainder of the day.  Check-in and the festival begin at 6:30 a.m., and the pre-walk warm up begins on stage at 8 a.m.  The walk begins at 8:30 a.m.
We need your help to achieve our goals!  Once you register, you will be given your very own Step Out Center web page with access to lots of tools to help fundraise.  You’ll be able to customize the page with your reason for walking, send emails to others asking them to join you or donate, and even download Facebook and smartphone apps for online fundraising.  Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes provides for employees, friends and family to come together for a fun healthy activity.  Register today at www.diabetes.org/stepoutmagicmountain
