The business incubator is located in the heart of the City’s Arts and Entertainment District of Old Town Newhall, at 22704 9th Street. This offers tenants a strategic place in a diverse neighborhood surrounded by other unique and growing businesses. Since the business incubator opened its doors in 2014, four new companies have been created and 14 jobs have been added to the local economy. Tenants receive the following benefits while participating in the program:
• One-on-One Professional Consulting Services customized to the entrepreneur’s needs to achieve growth.
• Workshops at no cost for the entrepreneur and his or her team on a variety of topics.
• Mentorship relationships with industry professionals and community leaders.
• Additional Resources including access to professional incubator and business organizations.
Interested companies must be in either the creative or technology industries and in the start-up or innovation stage to be eligible for the business incubator. Businesses must also have the resources to operate for at least six months from the start of the program and at least one employee on-site at the incubator on a regular basis. To be considered, entrepreneurs must submit an application, attend a personal interview and pitch a session with the incubator management team.
