Enjoy the Arts at Canyon Theatre Guild
You’ve heard of Hamilton, right? Composer/lyricist/playwright/actor extraordinaire Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning, smash-hit musical has taken Broadway and the rest of the world by storm, setting major box office records and embedding itself into American popular culture for years to come. But, Hamilton is not Lin-Manuel Miranda’s only claim to fame. His first theatrical triumph was 2008’s Tony-winning Best Musical, IN THE HEIGHTS, about the New York neighborhood of Washington Heights and the hopes, dreams, and traditions of those living there.
Now, IN THE HEIGHTS comes to the Canyon Theatre Guild for the very first time! With a colorful mash-up of dance and musical styles, this show is sure to be an unforgettable experience that will warm your heart and leave you dancing! In the Heights plays May 25 to June 24.
In addition to In the Heights, be sure to catch another terrific show at the CTG—ROMEO & JULIET—William Shakespeare’s immortal classic about young, star-crossed lovers and the family feud that threatens to tear their happiness apart. With a setting in 1920s New York City, this production is sure to be great for those both familiar-with and new-to Shakespeare’s work, proving that the genius of William Shakespeare transcends time and place! Don’t miss Romeo & Juliet, playing May 26 to June 23.
Ticket prices for In the Heights are $19 to $21 for adults and $17 to 19 for seniors and juniors. Romeo & Juliet tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $8 for juniors. Tickets reservations begin Tuesday, May 1st for season ticket holders, and Tuesday, May 8th for the general public.
