Clean Skincare with Great Results

When choosing skin care the more you know about ingredients, the better choice you can make. But label reading can be confusing. Scientific names for active ingredients can look… well, scary. Yet, recognizable ‘natural’ ingredients can in fact be either ineffective or worse, irritating to your skin.  What’s a health-conscious, results-oriented person to do?
1. Learn which key ingredients are proven to improve the quality of your skin – it’s actually a pretty short list!  A great deal of the skincare out there gives a temporary effect. Choose ingredients that create real change.
2. Know which ingredients to avoid. The David Suzuki Foundation has raised awareness of 12 questionable ones to avoid: the ‘dirty dozen.’
3. Learn how to read skincare labels: it’s easy!
4. Find companies that share your values and follow ingredient research closely. Consider them your partners in choosing effective, safe skincare.
