Canyon Theatre Guild – Steel Magnolias and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe
We invite you to take a trip down South to the small town of Chinquapin, Louisiana for our production of Robert Harling’s classic play, Steel Magnolias. This heartwarming comedy centers around six Southern women and their time spent at their home away from home–the beauty shop. The characters and audiences alike learn that the bond of friendship is much stronger than anything else life may happen to throw your way. Steel Magnolias is playing January 25 to February 23 at the Canyon Theatre Guild in Old Town Newhall. Tickets are $19 for Adults and $17 for Juniors (Under 18) and Seniors (Over 62) in rows one through 10 and $17 for Adults and $15 Juniors and Seniors. Don’t miss your chance to see this memorable show that inspired the hit movie!
Step into the wardrobe in Joseph Robinette’s adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. There’s more behind the wardrobe doors than just coats and hangers. There is an entire magical land—Narnia! This land is filled with talking animals, wood nymphs, elves, dwarves, unicorns and more! But, there’s an evil plaguing this land… the terrible White Witch who proclaims herself to be the Queen of Narnia! The only hope lies in the four Pevensie children, humans from our world, who stumble upon a legend and learn about their own prophesy. The side of good is in dire straits, however, as those who believe wait for the return of their one true king, the majestic lion Aslan. Don’t miss out on this fantastical adventure, for the portal to Narnia is known to open and close for untold amounts of time! The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is playing January 26 to February 24 at the CTG. Tickets are $17 for Adults, $15 for Juniors and Seniors, and $10 for children 12 and under.
