City Approves Grants – Grants totaling $180,000 to support 36 local non-profit organizations

Thirty-six non-profit organizations will be receiving funds as part of the 2019 Community Services and Arts Grant Program that was approved by the Santa Clarita City Council at its meeting on January 8, 2019. The annual grants are designed to assist community-based organizations with providing community services, art activities, programs and events for Santa Clarita residents.
The Santa Clarita City Council has made available $180,000 for grant funding to non-profit organizations providing community benefit. The City received a total of 59 grant applications for the 2019 grant year. Agencies were able to apply for funding within four categories: Community Services, Community Arts, Santa Clarita Presents and Arts Organization Capacity. Projects that are eligible for funding include one-time projects or programs, program enhancements, pilot programs, capital expenditures, special supplies and program implementation.
