JCI Santa Clarita Launches Bridge to Home Drive!
The Santa Clarita Valley chapter of Junior Chamber International “The Jaycees” has launched a three-month drive to help Bridge to Home. The drive has been launched following discussions with Bridge To Home about how best young professionals can help the shelter.
Each month the Jaycees will work with Bridge To Home on what their latest needs are. For February, Bridge To Home are asking for donations of:
Bottled water, cereal, granola bars, instant oatmeal, sugar, powder creamer, ground coffee, paper goods: cups, plates, bowls, utensils, paper towels, napkins
The center also relies on generous donations of gift cards and are asking for Target and Walmart gift cards in particular to help cover expenses.
The Jaycees will also be planning to host dinner for up to 75 homeless people in March and are asking for food donations.
Donation sites secured to date include, Santa Clarita Magazine, SCVTV, Henry Rodriguez @ State Farm Insurance, Chrissy Gonzales @Farmers Insurance, Tribute Lounge Hairdressers, Gymnastic Unlimited, DWilfri Dance Studio, SCV Book Exchange and Henry Mayo Health and Fitness Center. If you are able to host a box or donate gift cards to the drive, please contact Neil Fitzgerald at neilfitzjci@gmail.com
Commenting, Taylor Kellstrom, 2019 President said, “We’ve been helping Bridge To Home at Christmas Time for our Santa’s Helpers Project and we’re delighted to be able to expand our support and assistance to such a worthwhile organization. This project is a great opportunity for young professionals to come together and help out. We welcome your involvement.”
