Since you enjoyed your trips to Bedford Falls and Gilligan’s Island, you will not want to miss the latest adventures the Canyon Theater Guild has in store for you. From January 25 to February 23, you can join us on our trip down South to the small town of Chinquapin, Louisiana for a live theater production of Robert Harling’s classic play, Steel Magnolias. This heartwarming comedy centers around six Southern women and their time spent at their home away from home — the beauty shop. Often referring to the movie classic, “Gone with the Wind”, the myth of the “Southern Lady” is debunked by a cast of six remarkable actresses portraying the true story of their friendships, hardships & kinships. According to Director Barry Agin, the characters and audiences alike will learn that the bond of friendship is much stronger than anything else life may happen to throw your way. Director Agin urges everyone who enjoys what great live theatre offers to come see this show, almost guaranteeing that you will become emotionally involved in “all the humor, drama, emotions and story” this production offers. Steel Magnolias is playing January 25 to February 23 at the Canyon Theatre Guild in Old Town Newhall. Tickets are $19 for Adults and $17 for Juniors (Under 18) and Seniors (Over 62) in rows one to 10 and $17 for Adults and $15 Juniors and Seniors. Don’t miss your chance to see this memorable show that inspired the hit movie!
