The Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival Returns to Hart Park
Dust off your boots and get ready for the 26th Annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, coming to William S. Hart Park in Old Town Newhall April 13 and April 14, 2019! This year’s event will provide the music, entertainment, food and shopping you love with some new tasty additions.
Cowboy Festival visitors come from all over to immerse themselves in the rich western atmosphere and history of Old Town Newhall. As home to many historic sites in Southern California, Santa Clarita offers residents and visitors the chance to get a fascinating glimpse into the Old West.
Walk the beautiful grounds of William S. Hart Park and get a free tour of the William S. Hart Mansion, the former home of the first cowboy movie star! The Hart Mansion also serves as a museum and features an impressive collection of Native American artifacts, as well as Western American art. While you’re at the Cowboy Festival, don’t miss the opportunity to explore Heritage Junction, home of the historic Saugus Train Station!
New in 2019 is the Cowboy Cook-off, which will pit the best grill masters in Santa Clarita against one another for a shot at ultimate BBQ glory. If you love to grill and believe your BBQ is the best in the west, you won’t want to miss your opportunity to compete for bragging rights and prize money on Saturday, April 13. Think you’d have more fun as a taster than a competitor? Purchase tasting tickets and be a judge in the People’s Choice category!
A weekend of unparalleled music is also on tap as new and returning performers take the stage at the Cowboy Festival. The event will highlight Bluegrass, Folk, Americana, Country and Alt Country at various venues in Old Town Newhall.
