Classic Rock Fans Invited to the PAC for America

by | Feb 27, 2019 | Community

After 48 years together, the classic-rock band, America is still playing music that speaks to the times.
First, second and third generation fans will not want to miss the legendary band’s performance at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) at College of the Canyons.
Timeless songs like “A Horse With No Name,” “Ventura Highway,” “Tin Man” and “Sister Golden Hair” have made America a household name and perennial favorite.
Gerry Beckley’s melodic pop rock style and Dewey Bunnell’s lyric imagery and rhythms have kept their band relevant around the globe.
The two met in high school, along with former bandmate, Dan Peek, in the late 60s. What followed seemed to be a continuous string of successes and chart-topping records. Even when Peek left the group in the mid-70s, Beckley and Bunnell reestablished themselves as a duo and climbed their way back up with their smash single, “You Can Do Magic.”
Today, they continue to do what they love, touring the globe and playing music.
Tickets for America’s PAC performance are priced from $65 to $85.
For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact the PAC Box Office at 661-362-5304 or visit www.canyonspac.com.
