Welcome New ACS Council Chair

 The American Cancer Society is an active organization in the Santa Clarita Valley. It hosts a number of fundraisers to support cancer research and offers free programs and services to SCV patients and caregivers. Our local ACS Leadership Council directs the organization’s efforts and ensures that the goals and mission of the American Cancer Society are successfully implemented.
When past chair Sandy Ends retired in August, the council began searching for someone to assume this important leadership role. They are proud to announce that longtime SCV community member Janine Jones has undertaken this role.
Janine will be an excellent ambassador for the program. She has the insight and vision to direct the group and the ability to meet challenges. When Janine sees a need, she musters her resources to meet that need. Janine has been an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society since 1999. Janine is well-respected in the community and has worked with many of Santa Clarita’s nonprofit groups. She has dedicated herself to community involvement throughout her life and has achieved notable successes. Her impressive volunteer career is reflected in the many community awards she has earned for her service. Those who know Janine appreciate her talent, generosity, lively spirit and warm sense of humor. She brings passion and enthusiasm to this position. The Santa Clarita Valley is a better community because of Janine’s leadership. We welcome her as ACS Council Chair and are grateful for her service.
