Creating Unique Art at Board & Brush Santa Clarita
Creating a piece of home decor from raw materials is an exciting experience. At Board and Brush Santa Clarita, owners Sue and Doug Wilkin have brought this experience for all of Santa Clarita to enjoy. Sue has worked as a physical therapist for almost 30 years and began looking for a change. She came across Board and Brush through a friend’s post who visited a B&B in Arizona, instantly fell in love with the concept and knew Old Town Newhall would be the perfect location. On December 28, 2018 they opened and held their first workshop. Board and Brush Santa Clarita is an instructor-led wood sign making studio. Customers are taken step-by-step through the process from raw wood to the finished product that they will be proud to hang on their wall or give as a gift. Custom stencils are cut for each sign, so there is no artistic ability needed! Choose from seven different stain choices and 86 paint colors and let your creativity flow! Not creative? We’ll help with that, too! “We provide exceptional customer service to everyone who comes to our workshops,” says Sue. Whether with your closest friends and family or as a team building exercise for the office, the B&B experience is a great way to spend quality time while bringing your one-of-a-kind masterpiece to life.
Soon, Board and Brush Santa Clarita plans to partner with other businesses on Main Street to bring you beer and wine tastings, margaritas, other specialty drinks, and everyone’s favorite Taco Tuesday.
For an unforgettable experience in custom artistry, look no further than Board and Brush Santa Clarita located at 24417 Main St. in Newhall. For more information, to view their gallery and to schedule your workshop, visit their website: www.boardandbrush.com/santaclarita.
