Hope’s Haven Spotlight on Christine Kent
Christine Kent is a mom of seven who found yoga almost by accident in attempt to find a class w childcare. Having been involved in fitness her whole life, she enjoys marathons, triathlons, and teaching cycle and aqua classes. Her first class of yoga made her realize the unique benefits to the mind and body that yoga provided. She fell in love w it and soon trained then started teaching. She practices daily and lives in Castaic with her three girls, four boys, and various pets.
Peaceful, restorative yoga focuses on relaxing the mind and body using purposeful yoga positions. Senses are relieved as the body is allowed to move freely and slowly and at times, not at all. Music that soothes the progression of the postures aids in letting the body release tension and aid calm.
