Start Your Kids School Year with S.T.R.E.A.M Kids Expo

 The beginning of a new school year can be a challenging time for some kids. We have found students of all ages fearing unknown expectations and becoming somewhat discouraged at the idea of change i.e. a switch in classroom, teacher, increased homework, or social group.
In fact, in an article found on the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website, there is a strong connection between healthy behaviors and academic success. The research shows how kids start the school year can set the tone for the following months: reflecting poorly on grades, social interactions, and self-esteem. As a student focused organization, we are concerned about student success. For this reason, our team at S.T.R.E.A.M Kids Expo came up with a dynamic event to teach kids that no obstacle is too big to conquer with the right access and support.
Join S.T.R.E.A.M Kids Expo this August in the first ever Kids Conquer Challenge where participants (ages 8-14 years old) learn how to challenge themselves safely, physically, and mentally through strategy and collaboration. We are kicking off the school year right with your kids at the center of it all. The event will be full of health and wellness tips from industry professionals, interactive activities, fun, and prizes.
So how does it work? Students will be assigned to a team with one of our corporate sponsored team captains. With the support of the team captain and their peers, students will compete in a fitness obstacle course. Each team will have to work together to advance through each task and reach the finish line. Teams will be evaluated on time, team spirit, creativity, and motivation. Registration opens up on June 10 at 6p.m. Location and competition day are TBD.
