Circle of Hope Announces New Governing Board

Circle of Hope is happy to announce the 2019-2020 Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Members of the Executive committee will be comprise of President Alexander Hafizi; Past President Taylor Kellstrom; 1st Vice President Nola Aronson; 2nd Vice President, Jill Bondy; Treasurer, Siby Jehn-Johnson; Secretary, Christy Grable and Executive Director Laura Kirchhoff. Along with the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors include Cheryl Gray, Holly Feneht, Alix Schwartz, Debbie Ragonig, Alesia Humphries, Caren Kahan and Rebecca DeLuca.
Having served Circle of Hope as Vice President for the last two years, Alexander Hafizi also maintains the organization’s social media, prepares and oversees promotional materials and acts as liaison with media and graphic arts entities. “I am excited to assume the role as President of the organization on July 1st”, states Hafizi. “I look forward to all we will accomplish within the next two years”.
After serving two years as the organization’s President, Taylor Kellstrom will remain on the board as Immediate Past President. “Circle of Hope, the board of directors and the clients that we serve appreciate Taylor’s dedication, work ethic, and powerful and positive influence he has brought to our organization for the last two years” stated Laura Kirchhoff, Executive Director. “Taylor brought his experience as an SCV business owner to the table, along with a deep compassion for our mission and we appreciate all that he has done.”
1st Vice President, Nola Aronson has been an amazing supporter of Circle of Hope even prior to joining the board. She has been an ongoing sponsor of Circle of Hope’s events over the years and her dedication and support is greatly appreciated. 2nd Vice President, Jill Bondy first served as a board member beginning in 2009. Bondy has chaired the Afternoon Tea as part of 31 Days of Hope many times, is a co-chair of this year’s event on October 12, 2019. Bondy is also the Director of Client Services for Circle of Hope. Having recently joined the Circle of Hope board of directors, Treasurer Siby Jehn-Johnson, has a background in bookkeeping and great organizational skills. Along with her passion and dedication, this makes her the perfect candidate for this position. Also recently joining the board is Secretary Christy Grable. Grable has a passion for the work that Circle of Hope does for those with cancer in our community and not only serves the organization through the board and board activities, but also has an annual project of assembling and providing comfort kits for those undergoing chemo treatments in Santa Clarita. “I am excited to have such an outstanding group of passionate and motivated board members” states Kirchhoff, “I know this coming year will bring many exciting and new services, events, and support to Circle of Hope and all those that we serve”.
Circle of Hope wishes to thank past Executive Director Pam Ripling and retiring board members Judy Penman and Janice Murray for their service to Circle of Hope over the past years. They will be greatly missed.
