Hope’s Haven Spotlight on Allie Fox

by | Jun 26, 2019 | Medical

Ever since she took gymnastics as a child, Allie has been interested in the movement of the body and fascinated by the relationship between body and mind. Allie was introduced to Pilates in 2000, and it didn’t take her long to become a believer as she saw how the practice transformed her posture, strength, body awareness, as well as her mind and spirit. She started teaching mat classes in 2005 at a local fitness facility, and went on to complete her mat, reformer, and comprehensive equipment training.
As a Pilates trainer, Allie is excited about helping her clients develop more body awareness and strength and facilitate the exercises to become a foundation for transforming everyday movement patterns. These small changes make a huge difference in functional movement and daily life. As Joseph Pilates wrote, “self-confidence, poise, consciousness of possessing the power to accomplish our desires with renewed lively interest in life are the natural results” of the Pilates method. Allie is CPR/AED/FIRST AID certified.
In her spare time Allie is an outdoor sport enthusiast, loves her 3 rescue dogs and volunteers for a local animal rescue.
