STREAM’s Back-2-School Bash
American orator, Frederick Douglass said, “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” Teaching a child constructive habits at an early age can set them up for success well into adulthood. Back to school is a time that has its own set of challenges and for some these challenges are more intense leading to poor performance in school and ultimately in the life that follows. As one of the leading organizations on ensuring success in children, S.T.R.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Manufacturing) Kids Expo has created a back to school bash called the Kids Conquer Challenge to not only challenge our kids physically but giving them a mental work out along with guidance to help them through those difficult times during the school year.
The event takes place on August 24 at the former Sears parking lot from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
A huge “thank you” to Westfield Town Center Valencia for coming on as a hosting partner. And a big thank you to Santa Clarita Magazine as our media sponsor.
On the day of the event, competitors test their abilities with an obstacle course designed by a collaboration of fitness professionals: GRIT OCR, Ignition Fitness and Z-Tag. Each obstacle becomes tougher as they make their way to the finish line. Completion of each obstacle earns them school supplies. After the physical aspect, attendees can enjoy all the health and wellness vendors and family fun surrounding the course.
Sponsorship levels are still available, we are seeking more Team Captains to lead a team to victory. Vendor spaces are filling up fast, so please call today if you or someone you know wants to get your business noticed by hundreds of kids and their family.
To sign up visit www.streamkidexpo.org, here you will also find vendor and sponsorship information.
