Patriot Day Packages for Hometown Troops
Community care packing events, for all ages, to support and honor our local troops. Hosted by Prayer Angels for the Military. Call or email to check available dates and locations for the September Patriot Day packings. Donations are needed to fill the care packages, along with 501c3 tax deductible postage funds to ship them out. Donations for this event will be collected through September 28. Bring donations events or to the 24/7 donation bin at the Prayer Angel address: 21609 Oak Orchard Rd, Newhall, CA 91321. Funds can be mailed to this same address or donate online thru PayPal: http://www.prayerangelsforthemilitary.com.
Items most needed: Individually wrapped snacks – granola bars, protein bars, trail mix, cookies, Jerky, Slim Jim’s, Pringles, crackers, fruit snacks, dried fruit, nuts, hard candy (no chocolate), drink packets for water bottles (Crystal Light/tea/Propel/lemonade), hot cocoa & instant oatmeal packets, tuna kits or pouches, Top Ramen (not cup a soups), peanut butter & jelly/jam (plastic jars), Ritz type crackers, pop-top cans of fruits & meals like chili & hearty soups, specialty ground coffees like Starbucks & Dunkin Donuts is a treat, individual pkts of instant coffee like VIA Starbucks & Folgers, powdered creamer &Stevia type sweeteners, 3-4 blade razors, shaving cream, solid stick deodorant, lotion, body wash, unscented baby wipes (smaller packs), individual tissue packs, sm/med toothpaste, sm sz mouthwash, travel sz hand sanitizers, sunscreen & Q-tips, thick cotton crew socks (blk or wht), cooling neck & head bandanas (no bright colors), small fans, washcloths, batteries AA & AAA, playing cards, games, sodoku/crossword books, pencils & sharpeners (automatic pencils preferred), pens, stationery, blank cards, newer magazines & paperback books, hand held games, small sports balls, Ziploc bags (qt & gal). Cooling neck & head bandanas (no bright colors) are especially needed this time of year!
