Voices for Recovery “We are those people”

Child & Family Center, The Way Out Recovery and College of the Canyons Student Health and Wellness Center will hold “Voices for Recovery” on Wednesday September 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the COC University Center. The free community event will feature a resource fair followed by panel discussion of experts in the field of Substance Use and those in Recovery telling their story. A light dinner will be served.
The event is part of Recovery Month, a national observance sponsored by SAMHSA, (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). The observance raises awareness of mental health issues and substance use disorders, celebrates individuals in long-term recovery, and acknowledges the work of prevention, treatment, and recovery support services
