College of the Canyons to Host Fall Job Fair on October 4
Are you looking for a job or considering a career change? The College of the Canyons Career Center will host its annual fall Job Fair providing job seekers with employment opportunities in various industries and career fields.
The fair is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, October 4, in the West P.E. gymnasium, located on the college’s Valencia campus.
The event will feature nearly 100 employers seeking to fill entry, middle and upper level job opportunities, as well as free workshops for attendees.
New this year is a “Virtual Video Chat Job Fair” available for job seekers to connect with additional employers online who are unable to attend the fair in person. Career Center staff will help job seekers navigate the online chat and apply for jobs on the spot.
“The Job Fair provides the perfect opportunity to impress employers during a ‘mini interview’ format,” said Gina Bogna, Dean of Career Services and Special Programs at the college. “We ask that job seekers bring enough copies of their resume, dress professionally, and come prepared with questions to ask employers.”
Parking will be free in all student lots until 2 p.m. on the day of the event.
The Job Fair is free to students and community members, with no appointments needed and attendees able to drop in anytime.
