Holiday Packages for SCV Troops and Veterans
Prayer Angels for the Military organizes holiday programs for community members, of all ages, to show support for hometown troops, and veterans. Christmas & Hanukkah care packages are made for deployed troops. Gift baskets are made for veterans in need. Winter scarves, beanies, and throws are also given out to local troops and veterans, in appreciation for their service to our country. Participation from local businesses and schools is always appreciated.
Bring your big heart, roll up your sleeves, and come help prepare packages and baskets for the holidays. Join us on Saturday November 16, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Newhall Church of the Nazarene gym, 23857 The Old Road, Newhall. Bring a donation, if you can. Card making tables will also be set up. Contact Suzon to get addl. dates, info, or add a troop name: 661-799-8865, or email: PrayerAngelsForTheMilitary@yahoo.com. The website has a list of needed items or make a tax-deductible donation thru PayPal: PrayerAngelsForTheMilitary.com. Funds can also be mailed: Prayer Angels for the Military, 21609 Oak Orchard Rd, Newhall, CA 91321. Donation bin (24/7) on site.
Want to do more? Arrange a collection drive, or fundraiser thru your business, school, or group. Make cards or letters. Handmade or store-bought winter scarves, beanies and throws are a blessing. Fill Christmas stockings for troops and veterans. A gift card is always a welcome sight for a veteran in need!
