The Most Effective Way to Get the Best Surgical Results
The safety and comfort of my patients are paramount in my practice.
Varicose vein treatment with tumescent anesthesia and liposuction with tumescent anesthesia, both rely on the same principles. The most important concept is safety for the patient by minimizing risks associated with these procedures. This means being in tune with the patient’s needs and modifying technique to minimize discomfort. At the L.A. Vein Center, we offer varicose vein treatment as well as liposuction using tumescent anesthesia, so that patients get the results they want, and get back to their active lifestyles with minimum downtime
What is Tumescent Anesthesia?
Tumescent anesthesia is simply a mix of saline, lidocaine (a local anesthetic), epinephrine (a blood vessel constrictor), and sodium bicarbonate (a buffer). This mixture is injected into tissue, providing a profound and prolonged anesthetic effect. This is what has allowed painful varicose vein stripping in the operating room to be transformed into a minimally invasive procedure requiring just a needle puncture in the office. General anesthesia, one of the major risks associated with these procedures, is no longer necessary.
Harvard and Stanford trained, double board-certified surgeon, Dr. Larisse Lee focuses on the most up to date techniques to get the results you want. Be it hand and leg vein treatment, laser liposuction or other concerns, Dr. Lee can tailor a plan for you. Our state-of-the-art facility offers minimally invasive procedures with exceptional results.
