Hearts to my Heroes with Love
Santa Clarita Kids showed their love and appreciation to the Heroes that protect us every day. Hundreds of Valentine’s Day cards were made for local military, firefighters, paramedics, Sheriff’s Deputies, and CHP. Care packages were filled for overseas troops, and gift bags were made for hometown veterans. Local schools and groups started making these wonderful heartfelt cards a month in advance, ending with a Valentine’s Day event to make more cards, fill care packages for local overseas troops, and make gift bags for veterans.
Alicia Ibarra, her brother Julian, and Mom Rosa came out to help with the event, showing appreciation for Santa Clarita’s Hometown Heroes. Also onboard were team members Cindy Bozigian, and Ed Romeo, the proud Blue Star Dad of PFC Dominick Romeo, USMC.
The annual Hearts for Heroes program has been hosted by Prayer Angels for the Military, a Newhall based 501c3, for 16 years. Community members, of all ages, are encouraged to participate in the teams many programs and events.
