Galactic Gala: Expanding the Universe for our Children the 49th Annual Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley Benefit Auction
Laughter… Joy… Learning… Friendships… Every day that Sean walks through the doors of Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Clarita Valley, this is what he experiences. Sean is 14 years old. He is always smiling, loves theater, learning and playing soccer. Sean began attending the Club when he was seven years old. He was shy, new to the neighborhood and struggling in school. Sean lives with his grandmother who was looking for a place where he could spend after school hours with other children while she was working. Fast forward to today, Sean’s grandmother knows that he is safe, he is excelling in school, playing basketball, and is seen as a leader among his peers – all of which she credits to the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley. There are many children like Sean who need a safe place to spend their after-school hours, where they are filled with a sense of purpose, belonging, and are exposed to new experiences and opportunities.
Co-chairs Ann-Marie and Mike Bjorkman along with Jared and Laura Birchall invite you help make a difference in our community by joining us for the 49th Annual Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley Benefit Auction on Saturday June 6 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. The theme for this year’s event, Galactic Gala: Expanding the Universe for our Children, not only encourages you to push your fashion creativity beyond any limits, but should inspire all guests to use the evening as an opportunity to give in support of local youth who need us the most.
If you are interested in donating any kind of auction item, big or small, live or silent, please email Ann-Marie Bjorkman email@example.com. More information regarding the event can be found at www.scvbgc.org/auction.
