The Elks Lodge 2379 Trevizo family begin their shopping spree!
On Saturday, March 14 Tom & Donna Schmidt, from our local Elks Lodge, met Ernie and Alyssa Trevizo at Lowes to begin shopping for appliances for their new Veteran Gift Home.
Tom and Donna were instrumental in applying for a $2,500 Elks grant to allow the Trevizo’s to shop for appliances and other needs for their new home.
Commenting on the grant Donna said, “We are so pleased to be helping Veteran’s in our community with the very generous grants offered through Elks National Foundation”.
Alyssa stated. “Our family is extremely grateful to have been gifted a grant from our local Elks Lodge in Santa Clarita. Their generous shopping spree is greatly appreciated, we can’t thank our community enough for their outpouring support and excitement towards this new journey for our family.”
Future trips between Tom & Donna and Ernie and Alyssa will continue until the grant funding is complete.
The Santa Clarita Veteran Services Collaborative would like to express its gratitude to Elks Lodge 2379 for their generous support for our veterans and for assisting the Trevizos with their new home.
