Have a Safe and Happy Father’s Day

As we find ways to pay homage to the men in our lives with the goofy demeanor and silly choice of punch lines, we appreciate the sage advice, warm hugs, love and protection they bring to our family. Each year Santa Clarita Magazine reaches out to the community and shares some of the submissions of SCV dads in all their glory. We wish all the men a Happy Father’s Day from our family to yours.

My name is Maureen Munoz my father’s name is Elias Munoz .. my daddy is special no matter what … in pain with Cancer he was still there to celebrate and make sure he was always with family!!!

My dad is the world’s best dad because he gives me sooo many kisses and tickles. I get so excited when he gets home from work I get the biggest smile ever my little cheeks start to hurt. Mommy says I’m the luckiest boy ever and boy is she right. My daddy changes my diaper even when he can’t even breathe because it’s smelly. He reads me books at night and takes me to the park- which I love. Once this corona thing is done daddy says we can go back to play at the park. I love him so much.

This is my step dad, Robby New. He is the best step dad because he is always so nice to me and caring. He always goes out of his way to get something we want. If he came home from a long day of work he still finds time to play video games with us or help us with our homework. My step dad is strong, intelligent, and kind.

My father left when my siblings and I were very young. Leaving my single mother to raise three children like a super hero. Here is a picture of the only father I knew, my mother. It is a point every year during father’s day to let my mother know how special she is to all 3 of us. She never missed a basketball game, cheerleader event, or wrestling match, she was the cool mom in the neighborhood, now is grandma blessed with 3 grandchildren of her own. This woman “my father” is truly someone special.
