Logix Helps Members, Community Navigate Through Pandemic Hardships
While COVID-19 has provided its share of challenges to everyday life, Logix Federal Credit Union has ramped up efforts to make things a little easier for our members and the community.
Logix is known for competitive loan offers. However, with some of our members facing furloughs or modified income due to the stay-at-home orders, the credit union rolled out even lower interest rates so members could refinance their auto loans and keep more money in their pocket each month. Many were also able to pull out some of the equity on their homes to help with paying the bills.
Small businesses were able to receive some relief through Logix and the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans. These short-term, forgivable loans can be used toward payroll and other expenses that come with running a business.
Beyond helping its members, Logix has been active in the Santa Clarita community coming to the aid of its nonprofit organizations and front-line workers.
In March, the credit union arranged coffee service for employees at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. A few weeks later, the Logix team delivered much-needed N-95 face masks to the hospital’s personnel.
During the last half of June, the financial institution launched its Paying with a Purpose campaign. For a two week period, each time members made a purchase or payment using their Logix Mastercard credit and debit cards, Logix made a donation of two cents to support four nonprofit food service organizations – including Santa Clarita’s own feedSCV, which comes to the rescue by preparing meals and providing food to those who need it most. With a goal of raising $20,000, those two cents per transaction added up to a big difference for the community.
