Here are Some Design Trends for this Upcoming Year, 2021!
Well, 2020 was the year that was! So many of us wish we could have gotten away this year!
Rustic vogue is big on sophistication with a take on cottage core. This design works best on homes with interesting character details such as, original floorboards, exposed beams or paneled walls, taking on old and new pieces that work together.
Arts & Crafts, this movement was aimed to reform how things were made and reverse the machine-made production pieces which increases the value of hand-made decorative pieces. And cottage core which is very nostalgic right now as needs for peoples comfort during this pandemic. it is a mixture of simplistic mixed with touches of glamour to create luxe traditional styles.
Distant shores is a laid-back lifestyle of Hawaii, or any tropical getaway. It offers a calming and relaxing living space that makes your home feel safe, inviting and a place to recharge and renew! Vintage is all about repurposed, antiques, salvaged and retro pieces. The key reference is to use strong colors, favorite pieces and an approach of less is more for a vibrant, cohesive aesthetic that provides plenty of contrast. Earthy, Grounded Shades is all based around natural, earthy, color palettes that are packed with rusts, warm greens, deep reds and fat, rich browns. This look is very comforting and welcoming. Global Influence is inspired by earthy color palettes and warm natural textures that pairs with wooden, woven and rattan home accessories. It’s bold safari feel is influenced by wildlife and African plains. Ocean hues is relaxing poolside and beach getaways, aqua and inky blues offer a calm, contemporary look. With variations of blue, blue is the prefect color for creating a tranquil, peaceful home.
Classic Traditionalism takes it trend from the 18th and 19th centuries, which incorporates classic art, antiques with pieces of history. It brings a sense of harmony and order to any home. Shabby Chic is still here to stay it epitomizes faded elegance and an unrefined sense of luxury by mixing new buys with vintage market finds…
These are but a few of the trends on the horizon for 2021. Do not be afraid to change up your living spaces and bring in a whole new look.
Have a Safe and Happy New Year 2021!
