Introducing Three Of Six The Honoree’s 11th Annual Empowering Hearts Gala
Empowering HeArts is an annual celebration of inspiring women, art, and community, bridging the worlds of social action and artistic expression. This year’s theme is Survivor. Save the date for November 12, 2021. The event will be at the new Reyes Winery on Main Street.
Empowering HeArts 2021 is an annual event that helps raise funds for programs and services offered at Single Mothers Outreach and in helping to empower the members they serve. Each year, the community nominates women they feel embody the selected theme. Once narrowed down to six honorees, they are then paired with 6 local artists who will help depict the stories of how these women represent the theme.
On the night of our event, they reveal the beautiful art pieces created by the artists. The community comes together to help celebrate these inspiring women. With entertainment throughout the night and wonderful items up for auction, it is surely a night you will not want to miss out on!

Being honored by the Single Mother’s Outreach for this year’s Empowering Hearts is such a huge compliment! I admire all the women who have been honorees in the past, so to be chosen for this truly means so much. To me, Empowering Hearts honorees are strong, independent, determined and inspiring women who are not afraid to share their stories in order to help others. I am so grateful to now be a part of this amazing group of women! I hope that my story can also help to empower others and encourage them to never give up hope.

I am thrilled to be a nominee. Having experienced many life trials as a single mother to two amazing sons; it has given me the ability to take my experiences and use them as opportunities for personal growth. To be given a voice within this platform, as a nominee and to let other single mothers know that they are not alone in this journey is a full circle reward for my family, my friends, my children and myself.

If there is anything I have learned over this past year, it is that being a survivor can mean so many things. Being amongst these amazing women who have survived through hardship and found strength and hope, has given me the courage to fight against my disease and the hope to continue sharing my story to help aide in finding a cure. I am honored and truly humbled.
