It Takes a Village….And a Santa Clarita Community Supporting Circle of Hope
As a non-profit organization, Circle of Hope relies on the support and generosity of our caring and supportive community to continue to provide financial, educational, emotional and supportive wellness therapies to those with cancer in Santa Clarita. Last year, a year like no other, it was very difficult for all nonprofit organizations including Circle of Hope, when it came to fundraising to keep their organizations and mission going. At Circle of Hope “we can’t make it happen” was not in their vocabulary. Where there’s a will, there’s a way, and at Circle of Hope, there will always be a way. In May and October of 2020, the organization became creative, thought outside the box and hosted two amazing, fun and innovative virtual fundraising events to replace their popular in person signature fundraisers, Vine2Wine and the Annual Afternoon Tea, and successfully raised funds to continue to support those with cancer in our community. Also in October, their tradition of 31 Days of Hope continued virtually to provide breast cancer awareness to the community and raise funds through corporate and community giving. They finished the year with a virtual holiday boutique and silent auction. Circle of Hope is grateful beyond words that even through these difficult and challenging times, community members, organizations, businesses and corporations still came out and supported the organization in whatever way they could.
This year, Circle of Hope is looking forward to the return of in person classes and programs at the wellness center, cancer awareness events, special events designed for cancer survivors and those living with cancer, and in person fundraising events. In late May the organization announced the return of one of Santa Clarita’s favorite and most beloved in person fundraisers, Vine2Wine on August 21st.
This year’s event will be held underground below the Porsche Santa Clarita Dealership in The Wünderground Museum which brings together a significant collection of rare and special vehi-cles from across the United States to help tell the Porsche story in a spectacular display. The star-studded display will feature significant firsts and best from throughout the brand’s history, but also iconic favorites driven by Porsche personalities and celebrities, alongside victorious racing vehicles that prove Porsche’s impressive competition successes. Guests will enjoy a gourmet sit down dinner, unlimited wine and beer tasting from many of Southern California’s finest and favorite wineries and breweries, a live and silent auction, music, entrance into The Wünderground Museum, a VIP cocktail hour and many more surprises.
Once again, thanks to a loving and generous community that continues to support Circle of Hope and those with cancer, the organization has had an overwhelming response from donors, sponsors, participants and all those who have bought tickets to attend. Circle of Hope would like to thank their sponsors Porsche Santa Clarita, Sand Canyon Country Club, Logix Federal Credit Union, Advanced Audiology, Scorpion, Centurion Strategic Advisors, Boston Scientific, The Teri-Hughes Fox Foundation, Owen,Patterson & Owen, Dan & Janine Jones, Supervisor Kathryn Barger, Cars and Cabernet-Volk, Heaton & Volk, Farmers Insurance-Damien White, Valencia Auto Dealers Association, Zerehi Waymire Family Law Attorneys, 9 Round 30 Minute Kickbox Fitness, Mission Valley Bank, Camelot Moving & Storage, Siby Jehn Johnson-Keller Williams VIP Properties, WSI Internet Consulting, Deb Ragonig-Coldwell Banker Properties, Santa Clarita Magazine and QM Design Group.
