Save the Date for the SIGSCV Fashion Show
Mark your calendars as Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley (SIGSCV) will be strutting down the catwalk once again at their 10th Annual Fashion Show and Boutique on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Our theme this year is “Making Dreams A Reality” where we will feature stars from Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital who have been the community’s front liners throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Fashion Show and Boutique will take place at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Valencia, with the boutique opening at 10 a.m. and Fashion Show beginning at noon. Chaired by Sandi Naba and co-chairs Lissa Mahler and Krystina Reyes, the afternoon promises live entertainment, provided by Tommy Peacock and D’Wilfri DanceArt and Entertainment, and fun for all who attend. Tara Rice, Founder/Pageant Coach, Miss West Coast Productions, Inc. will be producing and directing the Fashion Show while Ed Masterson will entertain the audience as emcee.
Soroptimist International is a global organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley has hosted many events, raising thousands of dollars to help improve the lives of women and girls globally and in our community.
This year’s fashion show will also include a segment that will highlight the organizations’ Live Your Dream: Education & Training Awards for Women and Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls Programs. Soroptimist’s Live Your Dream Awards Program is a unique education award for women who provide the primary financial support for their families; it gives women the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects. The Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls Program gives girls the tools they need to achieve their education and career goals, empowering them to break cycles of poverty, violence and abuse. It will also help girls grow up to be strong, successful, happy adults.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Your generous help will assist the organization in continuing to fund their programs and deliver SIGSCV’s mission of helping women and girls globally and in our own community. Funds from the fashion show will go towards SIGSCV’s three pillars: Women’s Health, Women’s In Crisis and Celebrating Women. Your financial support will also help fund scholarships to single women supporting a family who are returning to college through SIGSCV’s Live Your Dream Award.
