Blue Star Ranch Veterans Receive Quilts of Valor

by | Nov 3, 2021 | Community

The Mission of the Quilts of Valor (QOF) Foundation is to cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting quilts and healing Quilts of Valor.
As one QOF volunteer said, “Our QOVs touch the recipients much deeper than we will probably ever know. And if just one quilt that I make touches a Veteran such that it gives him or her, the motivation to keep going, it’s worth the effort.”
Here in Santa Clarita we are fortunate to have a chapter of Quilts of Valor. Blue Star Ranch Veteran Adrienne Finney was presented with her quilt by QOV volunteer and maker of quilt George Allard. This was George’s first quilt he has made for QOV, and he was delighted to present it to Andrienne Finney, U.S. Army Veteran. Allen Hartman, U.S. Army, Vietnam Veterans’ quilt was presented to him by QOF member Donna Kiger.
Thank you Quilts of Valor volunteers for your efforts on behalf of our Veterans. You can learn more about Quilts of Valor at www.QOF.org
And if you know a Veteran in need of help with Post-Traumatic-Stress-
Disorder (PTSD) check out Blue Star Ranch at www.BlueStarRanch.org.
