It’s Springtime and there is so much going on, it’s hard to keep up!
We are very happy to feature Taste of the Town on our cover, “it’s back,” and just around the corner, coming up on May 1, Santa Clarita is buzzing with anticipation with the announcement of their new location at Blomgren Ranch! Spend a delightful afternoon sampling food from our valley’s best restaurants and beverage purveyors. The popular Diamond Drop, sponsored by Classic Designs Jewelry, is back again this year, along with Mark LeVang and Friends, who will be providing fabulous live entertainment. So, bring your appetite on and be ready for a good time!
Like to have fun? Don’t forget to attend Soroptimist International of Valencia’s Gentlemen For A Cause “An Evening in Monte Carlo” May 22 at the Embassy Suites in Valencia, when ten gentlemen will brave it all by donating their time and talents and offering some great auction items. This is a very fun event that you won’t want to miss!
If you love to walk, Michael Hoefflin Foundation For Children’s Cancer has a goal to raise $75,000 at their Walk 4MHF on April 30. This year, the event will be held at College of the Canyons Cougar Stadium. MHF helps local families battling pediatric cancer, this is your opportunity to support a wonderful cause.
Continuing with the walking theme, mark your calendar for May 14 at Central Park when the American Cancer Society invites the community to join in the world’s largest fundraiser event, Relay For Life, which will be at Central Park. The day promises to be a family friendly event featuring llive entertainment, games, raffle drawings, food trucks and lots of fun.
Also at Central Park, don’t miss the 3rd annual SCV Veg Fest slated for June 4. Founder, Jess Guidroz, is passionate about his vegan lifestyle, however, SCV Veg Fest was created with the community in mind – meaning it’s not just for people who are vegan. Veg Fest is a food, beer, wine and music festival. Attendees can expect a combination of over 100 participating restaurants, vendors and food trucks, live music, as well as a variety of local craft beer and wine vendors.
