Santa Clarita’s 17th Annual Military Honor Christmas Tree & Menorah Lighting
A Red, White & Blue Christmas Celebration! Saturday, December 3,2022, 5pm. Veterans Historical Plaza, 24275 Walnut St, Newhall, CA 91321. Join the community for Christmas songs and carols, as we gather to honor our hometown military members, past and present, with a few words, prayer, and the lighting of the Military Honor Christmas Tree and Hanukkah Menorah. Hot cocoa, coffee and holiday treats will be provided. Be sure to dress warm for this fun and heartfelt event.
Laminated photos of our military, past and present will adorn the tree. Photos on Blue Stars represent active duty service members, some deployed and away from their families during the holidays. Photos of our veterans are on white stars and angels. The Gold Stars represent a local family member that has died in service to our country. The SCV Young Marines will be placing a wreath to honor our fallen heroes. The Christmas Tree and Menorah will be lit every night through New Years.
The annual event is hosted by local non-profit Prayer Angels for the Military, Inc., assisted by the SCV Young Marines, veterans groups, and supported by the City of Santa Clarita. Contact: Suzon or Dale @ 661-799-8865, or email PrayerAngelsForTheMilitary@yahoo.com.
