Stay Motivated through the Winter!
Those long, active summer days have drawn to a close, but, if you routinely exercise, that’s no reason to let your workout routines go into hibernation. Especially living in California where you can exercise outdoors year round and where summer is here again so fast that you won’t be able to cover up in those sweaters and jackets for too long.

The Sticking Point
The dreaded “plateau” where weight loss seems to come to a halt is leaving us stranded with nowhere to go but up. Surveys show that 95 percent of dieters hit this spot at some point, never to get completely back on track again. What causes this sticking point and are there ways it can be overcome or perhaps even avoided all together?

Golf is perhaps the most analytically challenging sport of all. Up until recently, a player seeking instruction was often subjected to as many opinions as instructors. However, now with the advancement of technology, instructors can apply a scientific approach to improving their student’s game.
Real Men do Yoga!
When I walked into Hot Yoga Valencia for the first time 14 months ago, I carried a lot of anxiety and doubt. I wasn’t at my best and being a natural perfectionist didn’t help. I was 6 foot 3 inches, 255 pounds fat and doubled over in pain. It was probably the last place I wanted to be, but after seeing a chiropractor nearly every day for two weeks, I was running out of options fast.
Men are invited to Goddess Fitness!
I have never really been into Fitness. I smoked for 22 years and I was not into sports. I ate junk food and I never danced at parties. My wife is the dancer and owner of Goddess Fitness, so when when I saw the changes in her health, I quit smoking and decided to not gain weight. I decided to be the one to lose weight after quitting. So she dragged me to the Couples Yoga class.
Traditional Kung Fu Improves Every Aspect of Life
The original Kung Fu artists trained because if they didn’t they would perish in battle. They worked hard day and night. They had to be in the moment, when in battle, because being distracted by stress or fear meant sure disaster. They had superb combat skills, but also something more. They had changed their lives through their Kung Fu training. They had clarity of mind and relaxation in their lives. They lead confident lives knowing they had done all they could do to train themselves, in their art. They had no control over unknown situations, so there was no reason to worry.

Pilates and Pregnancy
A friend of mine recently did a half-marathon. She was 8 months pregnant. She is also a Pilates instructor. She had a picture-perfect pregnancy. When I was 8 months pregnant I was crippled with sciatic pain. I missed so many doctors appointments that my doctor refused to see me anymore. Unfortunately, I didn’t discover Pilates until my son was 3-years-old.
