Area military families now have a new place to turn to when searching for childcare and child development programs.  The Child Care Resource Center (CCRC), in partnership with the Department of Defense and the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA), is offering child care assistance to active duty military families who live off-base and do not have access to on-base child care.  The program includes child care financial assistance and one-on-one support to help locate high quality child care for active duty and reserve military families.

“We know that military families can face significant challenges while a parent or guardian is away from home serving our country,” said Michael Olenick, CCRC President and CEO.  “That’s why we’re pleased to be able to offer services to meet the unique needs of military families and let them know that CCRC is here to help.”

CCRC is a member of the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA), which works with the Department of Defense to support the childcare needs of off-base parents who are activated or deployed for military service.

The Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) has been assisting parents, childcare providers, employers, and local communities in all matters related to childcare since 1976.  Our mission is to promote optimal child development and family well being through access to quality childcare, family support, economic development and community education. CCRC serves over 15,000 children and families each month in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, and Antelope Valleys, by working effectively with the community, parents, providers and government agencies in planning and developing new child care resources.
