Did you know that more than seven million pet dogs and cats are put to sleep each year due to overpopulation?  It’s astounding.  Thanks to the loving support and kindness of a private animal shelter in the Santa Clarita Valley, you can do your part to save the life of a dog and end up with more love and companionship than you ever could have imagined.  Pet adoption is a major responsibility, so choose wisely and be certain you have the love and resources for your newest family member.  It could be a welcome change to your life.

Boots is a neutered male cat approximately three to five years old.  He is extremely friendly and looking forward to being a loving member of someone’s family.  He does well with children and other pets and is recovering from injuries he received as an abandoned outdoor cat.  Boots is expected to fully recover, but needs to be an indoor cat only.
Mr. Tumness is an 8-month-old lynx point siamese cross, med hair.  He is a very laid back, friendly kitten who gets along great with other animals and seems to love people.
Blanche is an eight weeks old, pure white female except for two black smudges on her head.  She is friendly and playful, a little shy but very sweet.  She will be great for a quiet household.
Butterscotch is a six-week-old female orange and cream tabby.  She is very sweet and friendly.  She is litter box trained.
Charlize is a 12-week-old female black-and-white spotted kitty.  She is friendly and playful.
Cindylu is a 12-week-old female Russian Blue Tuxedo kitty.  She is friendly and playful.
Lolly is a 12-week-old female grey and white spotted kitty.  She is friendly and playful.
Nissan is a four-month-old female pointer mix and is very friendly and good with other dogs.  She needs a good home as soon as possible.
Ruffian is a spirited 10-year-old with the enthusiasm of a puppy.  This small Westie mix is always happy and always entertaining.  Ruffy can entertain himself quite well with chewies and squeaky toys, but he can also live with other dogs his own size.  He likes to think he is scrappy, but he’s definitely more “show than go” and is easy to handle.  Ruffy loves to go for walks, loves to eat and loves to play.  Ruffy’s right eye is blind and his coat is still thin in places, but he deserves his own home with a person that can see past his rough exterior to the loving little guy within.  Ruffy weighs about 13 pounds and he is crate-trained.
I’m Willow, a young female lab/collie mix and I’m all puppy right now.  I’m about five months old and am getting spayed.  I am very playful but also love to take naps.  I’m being housebroken, know how to use a doggie door and am very good at playing with all of the other dogs here at the rescue.  I don’t mind cats and don’t really understand why all the other dogs chase the squirrels.  I love chew toys, especially the ones that squeak.  I don’t bark much, listen well and know how to sit.  I’m a smart little girl and will do well with more training.  I’d like some kids to play with.
Clover was turned in as a lost dog.  She now has been spayed and is current on her shots.  Like most Border Collies she is high energy but does calm down.  She is very happy, loves to play ball and wags her tail endlessly.
Thor is a one-year-old and has two available brothers who look just like him.  They are good with other dogs and people, a little shy at first but extremely affectionate once they get to know you.  They are living with so many other dogs that they are not able to get the attention they deserve.
Zeus is obviously a mix of many different breeds.  He is six months old and soon to be neutered.  He is a very friendly, loveable, somewhat goofy dog, that loves everything.  His owner told us he is housetrained, good with her three-year-old granddaughter and fine with her two other dogs.  She was over the dog limit and had to give him up but hated to do it.
