Kids have so many opportunities to learn and, believe it or not, they learn a lot through play.  Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) is celebrating learning through play with its 11th Annual Annabelle’s Play Day event.

CCRC will host the free play day at Los Angeles Valley College, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 19th.  Children will learn to use their imagination, language, social and motor skills through play while parents learn new ways to interact with their children and how to re-create fun activities in their home for little or no cost.

Every year this fun-filled event draws thousands of children and families to participate in activities hosted by local organizations from around the Santa Clarita, San Fernando and Antelope Valleys.

Annabelle’s Play Day is a unique family and community event where CCRC and other community-based organizations offer learning and play activities including reading circles, games, music, face painting, arts and crafts, relay races, dance and much, much more.  For the past several years, children and families have had a blast participating in activities led by local SCV child care providers, college students and volunteers.  CCRC’s play day isn’t just a fun way to spend your day, it’s also a learning opportunity for the whole family. This event is free to the public and all ages are welcome.

The Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) has been assisting parents, childcare providers, employers and local communities in all matters related to childcare since 1976.  Our mission is to promote optimal child development and family well-being through access to quality childcare, family support, economic development and community education.  CCRC serves over 15,000 children and families each month in the Santa Clarita, San Fernando and Antelope Valleys, by working effectively with the community, parents, providers and government agencies in planning and developing new child care resources.
