June Carey is a painter who had the dream to live in one of her paintings, in an Italian villa.  That dream recently became reality when in 2006, Carey found her Dream villa in Vitiano, Italy.  June wanted to be surrounded by landscapes and sunflower fields that has for years depicted in her Italian landscapes and now she is there, at her Villa in the Spring, Summer and some of the Fall months, painting in her new home and she loves being surrounded by the beauty.

As you can see in the photograph, it is a dream come true.  Her new home in the village of Vitiano, Italy, is well-known for being very close to Cortona, where the movie Tuscan Sun was filmed. Carey‘s Flat was built in the 1500s and is made of solid stonewalls that are three feet thick.  She has the original wine catina that was built with the home.

Carey can relate her villa to her paintings and the life she has always wanted to live.  She loves drawing and painting in Italy.  You can meet Carey at B&R Gallery on Saturday May 19th from 1 to 4 p.m. Carey will hand embellish in oil your art purchase.
