You may well know the comforting benefits and love of owning a pet.  For the hundreds of students over the years who’ve grown up with docile horses at the Heads Up Ranch, they know that feeling and so much more.      ImageThe riding lessons they are given while at the ranch are therapeutic and now you can do your part to make sure the program continues to thrive, inspire and touch the lives of all who ride.   It’s easy.  All you need to do is buy tickets for the Annual Spring Fling Benefit to be held on May 11th for what promises to be a fun-filled event at Alcole Equestrian facility in Sand Canyon.   All of the proceeds from the event will be used at Heads Up Ranch, founded in 1986 as a non-profit organization, dedicated to providing therapeutic riding for disabled children and adults.  Today it’s service has expanded to working with at-risk youth, the College of the Canyons service learning program, the community service court referral program and William S. Hart special education, grades seven through 10. The Friday, May 11th event will feature the sounds of the bank, Hillbilly Idol, a full barbecue from Stone Fire Grill, exhibitions from some of the finest horses and riders in the world, as well as silent and live auctions.  The cost is $50 per person.  The Saturday, May 12th carnival event is free and will feature the California Desperados, pony rides, a petting zoo, horse and rider exhibitions, food, wine and boutique venders. Buy tickets for the Annual Spring Fling Benefit to be held on May 11th for what promises to be a fun-filled event at Alcole Equestrian facility in Sand Canyon.   Tickets are available by calling 661-803-3652.  For further information, visit www.headsuptherapy.com
