Chuck Negron, of Three Dog Night fame will be performing a benefit concert this month to help defer costs of a Hart High School band trip this fall to compete in the Bands of America Grand National Competition. The national competition is the biggest of it’s kind in the country and Hart High School is only the fifth California band to ever attend.
The dues for each child are $1500 and benefit organizers are hoping to raise $20,000 at the event to offset expenses.
Music lovers from the 70s will remember Negron for his hit song, Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog. The evening of entertainment at the College of the Canyons, will also include performances by the Hart High Show Choir and the Hart High Jazz Band.
Sponsors of the event are Mercedes Benz of Valencia and FPK Investigators. Ticket prices range from $50 to $100.
