This month was our wedding anniversary.  So my husband and I decided that we could kill two birds with one stone and go celebrate our wedding anniversary and our babymoon with a little trip away from Valencia.

We both love Las Vegas, so it was a simple decision to go there before the baby is due and to also celebrate our anniversary.  Anyways, Kris and I had a great time even though I was seven months pregnant and people thought we were crazy for going there.  Although, I must say though that being pregnant does have its perks.  When Kris and I arrived at our hotel, they took one look at me and upgraded us to their penthouse suite.  Kris and I loved it so much we didn’t leave the hotel until we had to.  I could have lived there forever, it was awesome. I am sooo happy we went away for a couple of days, it was wonderful to be able to enjoy time alone before the baby makes her debut.

After our trip, Kris and I decided that it was time to paint the baby’s nursery.  Ok, well Kris painted it.  I tried to help, but I think I just got more in his way than anything else.  Kris did a beautiful job and when he was done he transformed our spare bedroom into a gorgeous pink-and-white baby wonderland.  He then added the baby’s border to match the crib’s bedding.  We are now officially done with the baby’s room and now just waiting for the furniture to arrive.  We are so excited and just can’t wait.

In preparation for everything, Kris and I signed up for childbirth classes a couple of months ago.  We started the classes this month.  I was actually dreading going to them.  I had this whole idea that it would be a seminar-type of class and that I would eventually end up falling asleep.  But these classes, which are held at the hospital, are so amazing.  We have learned so much and are actually having fun while we learn.  Our instructor is awesome and I am really hoping that she will be the nurse that will be there to help deliver our daughter.  I also recommend, which Kris and I did, taking a tour of your local hospital maternity department. That way you are familiar with the hospital and their policies, since all hospitals are different.  It was so touching to see the babies in the nursery.  I just can’t wait to meet our little one.  It’s getting so close.

All in all, it has been another wonderful month.  As it is getting closer to our due date, I am getting really excited and at the same time, a little nervous.  Excited about getting everything ready like the upcoming baby shower and yet nervous about the actual childbirth.  Do I want to have a natural childbirth, or will I be screaming for an epidural?  I guess we will see when the time comes.  Even though right now I feel that Kris should be the one pushing this baby out. Yeah, actually…that sounds really good to me.
