At Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s Maternity Unit, the professional and caring nursing staff prides itself in providing parents with a secure and serene birthing experience.

Jenny and Vincent Pagano of Valencia recently experienced first-hand the hospital’s 100 percent commitment to quality patient care.  “My wife and I cannot say enough about the amazing staff at Henry Mayo,” said Vincent Pagano.

Sally McGann, director of Women’s Services at the Valencia hospital, says Henry Mayo’s Maternity staff goes the extra mile in meeting the patients’ needs.

“We listen to the requests of the mother and respect her wishes as well as the desires of her family and physician,” she said. “We make sure mom is comfortable and secure and that her baby is in good hands.”

There are several reasons why Henry Mayo should be at the top of any expecting mother’s hospital list.

“Most of our nurses live in the Santa Clarita Valley and they treat every patient like a friend and neighbor,”

McGann said.  “Furthermore, our nurses provide each patient with friendly, compassionate and experienced care.”

The nursing team is also 100 percent obstetrical-trained, which ensures that they are staying current with the changes in their medical profession.

“Our nurses and respiratory therapists are also certified in neonatal resuscitation,” said McGann.  “In addition, those who care for infants are certified in infant stabilization.”

Henry Mayo offers many childbirth classes for expecting mothers and their families.
