The City of Santa Clarita is pleased to honor the 2007 Valencia Softball Division I CIF- Southern Section Champions, who defeated Hart High School with a score of 1 to 0 in the championship game in Irvine.
The City has made banners in recognition of the girls of the softball team.
The first banner location is northbound on McBean at the Greens Paseo and the second location is eastbound on Valencia Boulevard at Citrus Paseo.
With a stellar league record of 10-0 in league and an overall record of 32-1, both USA Today and StudentSports.com ranked the Valencia softball team number one in the nation. CalHisports.com also named the Vikings the 2007 State Team of the year.
